Project name: Food Bank & Family Services Project description: Families Unlimited Network is a nonprofit organization that exists to draw families into supportive relationships and foster well-being and stability. Our food bank has been offering food to Pierce County families and individuals for over 20 years. We serve nearly 200 families each week. Operating since 2000, our SPOT after-school program provides care to students in the fifth, sixth, and seventh grades. This highly-relational program focuses on improved academic performance and improved relationships with adults and peers. Food bank hours: Tuesday, noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon. Food/cash donations can be made to the Sunset address.
