Project description: Tacoma Rescue Mission provides for the emergency needs of people who are homeless, and offers services designed to help them become self-sufficient. Programs include shelters for children, women, and men, a hospitality kitchen (Good Neighbor Cafe), residential addiction recovery for women and men, adult basic education, and transitional housing for families. Tacoma Rescue Mission's Need-A-Break Donation Center helps homeless families get a new start, and also provides goods and services needed by people experiencing hard times. Ways the public can help: Food, Clothing, Toys, Hygiene/Personal Items, Volunteer Labor, Furniture/Household Goods, Mental Health Counseling, Job Training, Other Serves: All of Pierce County
