What do you see as the three top issues facing Auburn?
Serous blight conditions and vacancies in the downtown core...poor planning that leads to traffic jams inappropriate parking solutions and the wasting of natural resources that in turn hurts the environment....and poor financial planning that continues to show a lack of concern for the general public.

What measures would you support to keep your city living within its means?
Getting rid of un-warranted dues memberships and travel. Re-evaluation of downtown re-development. Re-vamp of Police and Parks Depts. Re-use empty buildings and try to get out of lease agreements that are eating us alive. Reduce pay or get rid of employees that are not doing a very good job.

Why are you the best candidate for this office?
I know the definition of frugal. I'll take the secrets out of our government. I'm not a dignitary believe meetings are for results not free donuts and coffee and I do know how to manage money. I don't need to go to Florida or Rhode Island to learn how to serve the people of Auburn and I think the Growth Management Act stinks.

Personal Statement:
It's time for Auburn to get back to basics. We've been lied to and cheated while most of our present administrators cater to the wants of large corporations. We've lost natural resources at an alarming rate and now the history of our downtown is being torn down. Spending has been out of control for years and planning is a disaster. Auburn is in trouble and it's time for some common sense to take center-stage.

What do you see as the three top issues facing Auburn?
Infrastructure: A hundred year old city with infrastructure, streets, water, sewer, storm that must be repaired and replaced with increasing costs for new new equipment, replacement and to keep up with new standards. Public Safety: We are a blue collar lower income industrial city and we are working to take back our city from crime and the intrusion of gangs Quality of Life: Improve programs for children and adults, more access to parks, trails bike and pedestrian and amenities.

What measures would you support to keep your city living within its means?
Auburn has cut costs for the last two years, negotiated labor concessions and layoffs. Auburn is not a rich community. Government has been required to stay lean and in budget while maintaining adequate reserves with clean audits. Auburn has successfully gone to the people for a property tax increase to resurface local streets, consolidate fire services vote for a fire authority for increased efficiency and vote for annexations of our GMA areas.

Why are you the best candidate for this office?
I love Auburn. This is my home and I care deeply for it. I have over 25 years of management and financial ability. I am well versed in cash flow budgets. I work well in partnerships with my Council,King and Pierce County, Puget Sound Regional Council, SCA, AWC, NLC, US Mayors. I go monthly into the neighborhoods to listen for ideas and solutions. I will always work for the betterment of Auburn and our citizens

Personal Statement:
Working in partnership we are transforming our home. Crime rates are down. We are working in the neighborhoods to keep gangs from forming. We are redeveloping downtown with two blocks with 160,000SF under construction and four more blocks ready to go. Our first Community Center and Activity Center starts soon. We have funding for local streets/minor arterials and together are planning for the big arterial funding. I want to finish the work we started, together.
