What do you see as the three top issues facing Bonney Lake?
PUBLIC SAFETY - We must address the increasing traffic and congestion issues. Our police and fire departments both need to be fully manned and equipped to provide quality services. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT - Before building new business ventures, we must address increasing vacancies as well as updating existing well-established businesses. DOWNTOWN PLAN - Need to continue the current emphasis on a viable concept with the vision of a walkable downtown area for our citizens and visitors.

What measures would you support to keep your city living within its means?
We are in difficult economic times. There will be increasing pressure on the city's budget because of declining property values. We must update the city's General Plan to reflect these new, ever-changing conditions. The old, status-quo will not help us now. We need new, fresh, innovative thinking to handle the new burdens that we've never faced before. Before building new business ventures, we must address the increasing vacancies and unused businesses plus update existing ones.

Why are you the best candidate for this office?
Bonney Lake has recently been one of the fastest developing small cities in Pierce County. The next developmental decisions will have a lasting impact on the landscape and environment of our city. Developing the new Downtown, Midtown, Eastown and WSU Forest areas will require much thought and consideration. I'll lead economically vibrant long-term strategic plans that will maintain the essence of our community while creating jobs, ensuring public safety, supporting education, and protecting our landscape.

Personal Statement:
My promise is to passionately represent the citizens of Bonney Lake. I'll definitely listen to the entire community and make decisions based on what is in the best interest of Bonney Lake, as a whole. While I always strive to be impartial, I can gain lots of valuable information from our city's citizens. I'm always ready to listen to concerned citizens, business owners, and special interest groups. I intend to only make "fully informed" decisions.
