What do you see as the three top issues facing the district?
1. Improving Student Achievement. 2. Living within the resources allocated to educate our students. 3. Maintaining, replacing and effective utilizing facilities within the district.

What measures would you support to keep the district living within its means?
Line item budget that is directly linked to student achievement.

What more should the district do to improve student achievement?
Work with the community to build strong families. There is a direct correlation between sucessful students and parent involvement. Our community needs to hold the School district accountable but they must also be involved in the process of raising our children. We cannot expect our teachers to be the students parent, educator and cheerleader. Teamwork between parents, community and educators is the key to improved student achievement.

Personal Statement:
Education works when there is good governance, and good governance exists only when the citizens believe in, and are involved in, the process. I will do everything to exceed your expectations and make the school board work by managing the budget through effective spending, policies through board established priorities, and the superintendent through encouragement and accountability. I will communicate with citizens, school employees, students and fellow board members to explore options to exceed expectations.
