What do you see as the three top issues facing Pacific?
The City Budget, we need to deal with the deficit in the 2009 General Fund with the least impact to the infrastructure and the citizens.
The impact of the river in making sure we don't again see the devastation that we brought onto us last year.
We need a cohesive 5 to 15 year vision of where we believe the city needs to be.
What measures would you support to keep your city living within its means?
Working within our means is number one, while maintaining at minimum the basic infrastructure that is needed to provide essential services. Budgets reviewed and if needed some headcount or provided services will need to be done reduced or eliminated.
Why are you the best candidate for this office?
I believe that I bring to this position a variance of experience that I can use in evaluating issues impacting our city and will make the best decision not for personnel reasons but a decision based upon facts and what will be best for the city's present and future needs.
Personal Statement:
I believe my decade of experience in my Masonic lodges building overview board, as leader of the lodge for two years, multiple years leading the scholarship/school programs. Including the last couple of years working with the city as an involved citizen on the park board, civil service and planning commissions and a quarter of a century as a manufacturing planner in the aerospace industry has prepared me for the role of city councilman.

Maintain the City budget, and staffing due to stream line sales tax which is affecting city along with the economy and the budget in the city
Maintaining citizen safety with reduced budget.
Attracting new business and employers and maintaining businesses and employers in the city of Pacific while increase the quality of life in our community.
What measures would you support to keep your city living within its means?
I would like to see other alternative to stream line sale tax or changes made so it is not so harsh on small cities like Pacific. This has hurt many cities along with the economy being poor. The State of Washington needs to create a better solution that is fair to all.
